hamburguesa con jamon y queso

Sunrise on a lovely comfy "Aguila Dorada" bus heading north. Today is Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006. Yesterday was a national holiday because of San Martin, a spanish man who led the independence struggle for Argentina chile and Peru in 1816. The Chileans don't love him as much as the Argentineans. The sun is rising over the Chaco region of Northern Argentina where we are now. It is very flat and there are lots of horses. We're passing lots of real small towns. They say Chaco is one of the poorest regions of Argentina. It was known as the "cotton capital of Argentina" but now the main crop is soy because of the high demand of export to Asia.

We are still in the Santa Fe Province, where Rosario is located along the River Parana'. There are lots of cows. I'm traveling with Diego, my fiancé. This land is very fertile. En Rosario, se dice "re" muchas veces antes de los adjectivos. Quiere decir "muy", "fully" o "molto". Por ejemplo, !re canchero! very cool.
